Alex + Lena: Married

I've been very fortunate to be able to photograph so many weddings this past year, some of them were as a second shooter to my friend Larry. When Larry's son, Alex, got engaged I mentioned that I would be more than happy to photograph their wedding. I ended up photographing alongside our friend Katie who was rocking two Canon 5D Mark IIIs the whole night (and those suckers are heavy)!

It was a cold day, but the wedding was beautiful and Alex and Lena were good sports about getting some photos outside after the ceremony.

Here are a few of my photos from their day!

Congratulations Alex and Lena, best wishes for a lovely future together!

For those interested, the wedding cupcakes came from their family shop, Kayce Cupcakes and they were delicious!

Kate + Dan: Married

A few weeks ago, my lab mate Eva asked me if I would be available to help photograph the wedding of her friend Kate. She mentioned that Kate and Dan were having a low-key soiree and were asking friends and family to photograph the wedding, much like the wedding I shot a few weeks ago. Since I've had a little more experience now, I was happy to lend a hand.

Their ceremony and reception were at Quonquont Farm in Whately. It was a gorgeous day, a gorgeous place, and everyone looked amazing!

Congrats you two! Thanks for letting me be a part of your day!

Melissa & Mike: Married

Last weekend, I got to travel down to my hometown in NJ to celebrate the wedding of a grade school friend, Melissa. My parents moved from there about 5 years ago and I haven't been there since. I was excited to go back and see all my old haunts.

Here are a few photos from the wedding, I wish I was able to take more, but I was trying to enjoy spending time with old friends!

Adam even joined us for the celebration! It was so good to be able to see him again!

We drove out to West Orange for the reception, which was at The Manor. It. Was. Gorgeous. And the food was so good!

My parents were happy to see old friends that they haven't seen in a long time.

At the end of the night, I stopped to get a pic with the bride. Another friend from grade school, Anna, came over to say goodnight and hopped in a pic too. The three of us go way back to Girl Scouts.

We had such a great time at their beautiful wedding!

Alyssa + John: Married

This past weekend, Adam and I had the good fortune of joining another college friend on their wedding day.

Shortly after Alyssa and John got engaged I got an email from Alyssa asking if I would be interested in photographing their wedding. Alyssa assured me that it was a casual thing and that I wouldn't be the only one shooting, they had asked another one of their friends, Tea (who is super nice and has the coolest business cards!). I think I was still on a just-starting-my-365-project high and I thought I'd totally be up for the challenge. Had they asked me a few months later, I might have said no. My 365 project really burnt me out and at the end, I thought I was pretty much done with photography.

Anyway, I'm happy I said yes, because I had such a great time photographing their wedding (yes even trying to take group shots in the pouring rain!).

Without further ado I present to you the new Mr. & Mrs. :)

Congratulations you two!

PS. I have to mention that not only did they find time to create the wedding of their dreams, they also catered their own wedding. Amazing.

PPS. Major thanks to my friend Larry for building up my wedding photographer self esteem by letting me tag along with you on a few weddings!
